The Workforce and Career Readiness Advanced Topic session seeks to provide resources and tools to prepare community leaders to adopt best practices and behaviors to support economic development. This class will introduce methods adopted by other communities to improve stakeholder engagement with industry and business partners, Chambers of Commerce, Development Authorities, and Secondary and Post-Secondary careers. In addition, participants will walk away with strategies to identify Career Technical Agricultural Education (CTAE) pathway alignment, identify work-based learning (WBL) opportunities, and create business and industry partnerships with local education partners. This session is best suited for those who play a key role in local decision-making, industry leaders, and those involved in education at all levels.
